Operation 6 is a Veterans Service Commission program designed to support incarcerated veterans. The Stark County Sheriff has invited the Veterans Service Commission into the Stark County Jail to connect with Veterans. Despite the circumstances, some justice-involved Veterans may be eligible for VA benefits and financial assistance. Operation 6 aims to connect veterans to benefits; advise what happens to the VA benefits they are already receiving once they become incarcerated; and connect them to programs that are available to support them with reintegrating back into the community once released from incarceration.
The Veterans Service Commission of Stark County has two staff members that work directly with Operation 6:
Darbey Schultz | Service Officer | Justice-Involved Veterans Liaison | US Army Veteran
Personal Quote - "We've got your back even with the obstacles of life. NO Veteran left behind."
Stacey Christiansen | Finance Representative | US Coast Guard Veteran
Personal Quote - "On the battlefield, the military pledges to leave no soldier behind. As a nation, let it be our pledge that when they return home, we leave no veteran behind." (Dan Lipinski)
