Tuberculosis Control

TB Skin Tests at SCHD

Tuberculin (TB) Skin Tests will be given on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays on a walk-in basis between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a $20.00 fee. Tests will be read 48 hours after the test was given.

TB Control Unit Responsibility

Monitor all cases of Stark County TB.
Report all cases of TB to the state and complete updates on cases.
Keep a TB Record Bureau or TB Case Registry.
Provide assistance with TB medications for active TB cases who need financial assistance.
Provide assistance with chest x-rays for positive reactors who need financial assistance.
Provide education, statistics, and information to providers and local health departments as needed.
County contact to resolve issues relating to TB.
Initiates detention process when patients are not complying.
Provides directly observed therapy (DOT) to Stark County TB patients.
