The SCHD holds regular safe infant sleep classes for qualified applicants to receive safe sleep education, a portable crib, and a sleep sack to those families in need of a safe sleep environment for their child up to age 1. In addition to classes at the Stark County Health Department, we partner with several home visiting programs and agencies to provide classes through Every Baby Sleeps Safe. Providing a safe sleep environment is one of the most important steps to preventing SIDS and sleep-related asphyxia.
