What is 988?

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This dialing code is now available to everyone that needs it. Visit the Frequently Asked Questions here.

Lifeline Chat is a service of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline), connecting individuals with counselors for emotional support and other services via web chat. All chat centers in the Lifeline network are accredited by CONTACT USA. Lifeline Chat is available 24/7 across the U.S. 

The Stark County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a partnership of representatives from more than 20 local community organizations working together to save lives. Their mission is to provide guidance and expertise to promote hope, wellness and behavioral health as a means of preventing suicide in our community.
