Stark County Health Department is PHAB-Accredited
The Stark County Health Department achieved initial accreditation in June of 2017, after undergoing a multi-faceted, peer-reviewed assessment process through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). In March of 2024, the health department successfully completed another rigorous review process to maintain its accreditation status. In maintaining its accreditation status for another five years, the Stark County Health Department has demonstrated conformity with PHAB’s quality standards and measures and the capacity to advance, evolve, and improve the health of Stark County residents.
Accreditation has strengthened the health department’s continuous commitment to:
- Meet the 10 Essential Public Health Services
- Promote a culture of quality and performance improvement
- Respond to public health emergencies
- Encourage the use of equity as a lens to identify health priorities
