The Stark County Land Reutilization Corporation (SCLRC), informally called the “Stark County Land Bank,” was established in 2012 and offers programs/activities focused on the reclamation and repurposing of vacant and abandoned properties throughout Stark County. These programs help to return property to productive use, increase property values, reduce blight, and support community goals to revitalize neighborhoods while improving the quality of life for county residents. The Stark County Regional Planning Commission entered into a contract with and has been providing the general administration, program management, and oversight of the Land Bank since May 2014.
