Healthy Start is for pregnant women and children up to 19 years old.
- May include coverage for:
- Families with children younger than age 18
- Children younger than age 19
- Individuals ages 19-21
- Pregnant Women
- Immigrants and their U.S. born children
- Family Planning Services (a limited coverage)
- Provides basic medical coverage, such as, doctor visits, hospital care, vision services, prescriptions and more
- Eligibility is generally based on income and family size
- Additional services are offered:
- Healthchek – provides preventive and treatment services for anyone under 21 who is Medicaid eligible
- Pregnancy-Related Services provides prenatal care, education and nutrition counseling
