Healthy Start is for pregnant women and children up to 19 years old.

  • May include coverage for:
    • Families with children younger than age 18
    • Children younger than age 19
    • Individuals ages 19-21
    • Pregnant Women
    • Immigrants and their U.S. born children
    • Family Planning Services (a limited coverage)
  • Provides basic medical coverage, such as, doctor visits, hospital care, vision services, prescriptions and more
  • Eligibility is generally based on income and family size
  • Additional services are offered:
    • Healthchek – provides preventive and treatment services for anyone under 21 who is Medicaid eligible
    • Pregnancy-Related Services provides prenatal care, education and nutrition counseling
