CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
3/25/2026 - Over the past few weeks, the contractor has completed the main waterline installation along Everhard Road. This morning, service line installation began along the west leg of Everhard Road. They will then jump over to the east leg of Everhard Road to complete the remaining service lines. In the coming weeks, the project will move into Phase 3. In this phase, road widening work will take place along the north side of Everhard Road on both the east and west legs, and has a timeline of approximately 1 month, weather permitting. Lane restrictions for westbound traffic on Everhard Road will be needed for a safe construction zone, as well as the elimination of left hand turns for northbound Dressler Road traffic at the intersection with Everhard Road.
1/21/2026 - Our contractor, Wenger Companies, plans to begin their focus on the western leg of Everhard Road. The work will include storm sewer installation and the beginning of the new waterline. The storm sewer installation will take place on the north side of the road (Children’s Physicians Plaza to Bob Evans. The waterline work will take place along the same stretch of Everhard, but on the south side of the road (in front of Holiday Inn and Marathon). Access to businesses will be maintained throughout construction. With weather permitting, waterline work will continue through the intersection and to the eastern leg of the project area.
11/19/2025 - Today, the last lane closure has been removed and all lanes have been opened to traffic for the holiday shopping season. With most of the road widening work completed along Dressler Road, the focus of 2026 construction will be focused on Everhard Road. Road construction is scheduled to resume in January 2026, weather permitting.
7/11/2025 - Starting on 7/16, Phase 1 of construction is scheduled to begin. In Phase 1, the west side of Dressler Road from University to Belden Village Street will be widened. During this phase, southbound traffic will be reduced to 1 lane. This phase is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2025.
