ASSISTANT PUBLIC DEFENDER: FAMILY COURT DIVISION
The Stark County Public Defender is seeking a full-time Assistant Public Defender to practice in the Family Court Division of the Stark County Court of Common Pleas. The applicant must be an attorney licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing. This position involves representing juveniles charged with delinquency or unruly charges, adults charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, parents facing child support contempt, and parents whose children are alleged to be abused, neglected, or dependent. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. This position is full-time with a probationary salary of $65,000, plus benefits, which increases to $66,800, plus benefits, after 90 days.
