Kyle L. Stone has deep roots in the Stark County community. He is a Canton native and 2001 graduate of Canton McKinley Senior High School. He went on to obtain a BA in Law & Liberal Arts from The University of Findlay and shortly thereafter obtained a Masters in Public Administration from The University of Akron. He is also an ordained pastor and holds a Masters degree in Ministry from Temple Baptist Seminary. Stone assumed office as Stark County Prosecutor on January 4th, 2021. Prior to this role, Prosecutor Stone was in private practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and personal injury.
Prosecutor Stone enjoys spending time with his family and friends, specifically his daughter Keyana, and his granddaughter Brooklyn Nicole.

PROSECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The County Prosecuting Attorney is charged with the duty of inquiring into the commission of crimes within Stark County. The Prosecutor shall prosecute, on behalf of the State of Ohio, all complaints, suits and controversies in which the state is a party except those specifically excluded by state law. As legal adviser to the board of county commissioners, board of elections, township boards and all other county officials and boards, including tax supported public libraries, the Prosecuting Attorney is required to represent and on request to issue written opinions or instructions on matters connected with their official duties.
